2021 saw continued changes in the AP Global Logistics (AP Global) network with the growth of routes and the expansion of new carriers and customers.
Through the 2021 calendar year AP Global’s average emissions per parcel have reduced by 17%.
The most carbon intensive route (UK to Australia) now only accounts for 32% of total volume, down from 57% the previous year.
2021 also saw significant changes in the distribution of volumes through AP Global’s lanes. Notably, two new routes have increased in volume in 2021 (Hong Kong to Australia and USA to Australia) which accounted for 27% and 20% of AP Global’s 2021 footprint respectively. These routes have a shorter flight distance, which has driven down the average emissions per parcel.
Continuing to engage and collaborate with Carriers and Customers will allow AP Global to minimise our overall impact on the environment through greater visibility and education across our global network.
